Dior Tie Dye - Swatches6:44 PM
Here I am with swatches of the items I got from the new Dior Tie Dye collection for summer.
I picked one of the polishes in Sunwashed and the gorgeous nude palette.
Sunwashed is a gorgeous and creamy pastel yellow. It requires 2-3 coats for even and perfect coverage. I used 3 here. It's well known that pastel nail polishes can be difficult to apply but luckily Sunwashed has a very nice formula and applying it is quite easy!
I really love this color and I believe Sunwashed is a must-have! I love when companies do unusual colors and this one doesn't disappoint!
According to Dior:
"Dior has created its 1st illuminating palette to brighten the eyes with an instant radiance-boosting effect. Using Glow-MimeticsTM technology, the incredibly luminous universal neutrals recreate the radiance of a flawless eyelid. The shades combine in perfect harmony with the primer and liner to create smooth, even and wider-looking eyes, while adding structure and brightne"
It comes with a primer, 4 eyeshadows and a liner.
1: a satin cream primer with warm undertones,
2: a satin light camel shadow
3: a pearled light taupe shadow
4: a pearled mauve-based taupe shadow with a hint of copper in it
5: a pearled chocolate brown shadow
6: a blackened-brown eye liner.
All the shades are warm-to-neutral tones and I guess they look universally great whatever your skin tone.
I was impressed by the pigmentation. I imagined them rather sheer but they're quite pigmented. Generally speaking, I think they are more pigmented than most Dior palettes and have less shimmer.
The shadows apply beautifully and are easily blendable. They last all day long using the primer. I can't talk about the lasting power of the liner because I'm not an eyeliner kind of girl.
I think all the colors look wonderful together and are easy to use for a beautiful everyday look. That's the eye palette I'm reaching for the most at the moment. I really appreciate it for a neutral everday look!
The brushes that come with the palette consist of a double-sided mini eye shadow brush and sponge-tipped applicator and a brush designed to apply the gel eyeliner. It's a firm, flat and tapered brush.
The hair of the mini eye shadow brush is really soft and pick up the pigments well. It's not just a mini brush but it works really well!
Dior products can be purchased from your regular Dior counter (e.g., Sephora, Selfridges, Nordstrom, Douglas, Marionnaud, Manor) or directly through dior.com.
