Lekker Lacquer - Holiday collection

11:50 PM

I've been really busy these days. That's why I am less present on the blog. But I'm back with a new indie brand, Lekker Lacquer! The lady behind this brand is Angelique from The Netherlands. She's also a fellow blogger running Meisie’s Nails.

And today I'm showing her Holiday/Winter 2013 collection!

Santa's Curfew is a dark blue jelly nail polish loaded with holographic silver moons, stars, dots, bars and hexes. AWESOME! I love this polish! It has so much depth! I used 2 coats. It's loaded with lots of glitters so you have to be a bit careful when applying it. But it's totally worth it IMO. It's my absolutely favorite from this collection and a must-have!

Can't Bear The Cold is a blue jelly nail polish loaded with white hex glitters of varying sizes and shapes. It's very sheer! I was a bit worried when I applied the first coat but eventually I think it looks very pretty and I like it a lot! It really reminds me of winter and snow. I used 3 coats and you still can see some visible nail line. It didn't bother me but you have to be aware of this!

Chimney John is a red crelly nail polish loaded with white glitter of varying sizes and shapes. The glitters are huge and there are plenty of them! Angelique was very generous! I used 2 coats here. I love how this polish look but you have to be a bit careful when applying it because there are so many glitters that application can be a bit tricky.

Did It Rein, Deer? is a light brown jelly nail polish loaded with brown hexes, caramel hexes and squares, red dots, and bronze micro glitter and shimmer. The base of this polish is shimmery and it's very pretty when layered over a brown polish. This one is quite sheer that why I decided to layer it over Orly Nite Owl. I used 1 coat of Did It Rein, Deer? over 2 coats of Orly Nite Owl. I must admit I didn't know what to expect of it when I saw it in the bottle. It didn't really call my name lol but once on the nails, I loved it! I think it looks perfect layered and it gives you an instant Rudolph nail art! Unexpectedly it's one of my favorites from this collection. Note that the base is a sheer brown jelly.

Everybody's Present is a clear nail polish loaded with holographic silver, gold, red and green glitters in many sizes and shapes. It's a true glitter bomb and is very sparkly because the glitters are holographic!! Hello Christmas ;D
I used 1 coat over Essie Licorice. I love the big cirlce glittersin this polish! Again, there are a lot of glitters that come on the brush so you have to be a bit careful when applying it. But it's worth it in my opinion!

Go Elf Yourself! is a white crelly nail polish loaded with holographic red, green and gold glitters in different sizes and shapes. I used 2 coats on all nails except on my index where I used 3 coats. It's not 100% opaque at 2 coats but it is at 3.

Cane Touch This is a clear nail polish loaded with red and white micro bar glitters. The bar glitters are matte. I layered one coat over Revlon 571 Posh. I think it would have looked better if it were more shiny. Otherwise application was nice.

I Snow What You Did Last Winter is a white crelly nail polish loaded with orange, blue, silver and black glitters of different sizes and shapes. The combination of glitters in terms of color is very original. I like that! The base is a bit thick and there are a lot of glitters so sometimes you end up with clumped glitters (especially for the circle glitters). I used 2 coats. When you apply a second coat, the white base almost cover the glitters of the first coat.

Overall, I think Angelique did a great job with this collection that is really infused with the spirit of Christmas! Some of them are a bit tricky to apply because of the numerous glitters but the extra effort is worth it. My favorites are Santa's Curfew, Did It Rein, Deer? (Rudolph <3), and Everybody's Present!
